Ph. 517-109 ASHBURTON PEST DESTRUCTION BOARD TENDER FOR AERIAL APPLICATION OF CARROT BAITS TENDERS are invited for the aerial application of carrot bait to the following areas:Fixed wing aircraft Ashburton Gorge Area: 3918 ha. Tonnage: 130 tonne sown at rates from 10 to 12.5 kg/ha in swathes not exceeding 30 metres. Dates: Five separate operations from mid April to mid September, 1988. Aircraft: Only one aircraft is necessary. General: A loader must be supplied for loading the aircraft, and whole carrot into the cutter. The driver must be supplied with protective clothing. Aircraft should have a hopper agitator. Aircraft and equipment must be free from super or any contamination on arrival at the strip. Pilot must have chemical rating for 1080 poison. Back-up equipment and aircraft should be available. Aircraft to remain on strip during operations and must be decontaminated by Board staff before leaving the area. Please supply make and model of aircraft; also cubic capacity and maximum weight of hopper. Quote all prices on a per productive flying hour basis. Please make tenders addressed to the Secretary.
