This national operation has a wide range of exciting and innovative product developments in the high tech electronics field with worldwide application. This newly created position is part of the senior management team, and key areas of responsibility include: • Establishment and management of a sophisticated Engineering R & D unit servicing the group. • Liaison with customers and manufacturing units ensuring product/customer specifications are met. • Overseeing the group's QA functions and production planning. The position requires a person with a very high degree of technical skill in the fields of electronics and mechanics, being up to date with the most modern technology. A formal qualification in electronics with work experience in an R & D environment is a strong preference. The people skills to both manage staff and relate effectively to customers are essential. The age range is open. This is an attractive opportunity with very real career prospects for an innovative person who enjoys a vigorous team environment within a rapid growth company.
