R.B. injection The Reserve Bank yesterday injected $368 million into the money market by means of sellback transactions and purchase of treasury bills. Sellbacks maturing in the first week of February worth $360 million were accepted at rates between 16.87 and 17.36 per cent, and $8 million of July treasury bills were sold at rates between 16.70 and 16.77 per cent. ‘Post’ delay New York’s two senators have introduced a bill to delay until at least Jan 1, 1989 the date when Rupert Murdoch would have to sell or close the “New York Post” newspaper. Under current law, Murdoch must sell or close the “Post” by March 6 to comply with provisions of a Federal Communications Commission (F.C.C.) regulation that prohibits common ownership of a newspaper and a television station in the same city. Murdoch also owns a television station in New York.
