Rules amended
The rules have been amended slightly for the postChristmas premier men’s twilight softball competition which will continue with five more games this week. Special rules apply for the “fast play” softball being contested in this competition with, for instance, ’batters
being restricted to bunting for the first three innings. After the initial games last week, the Canterbury Softball Association decided to make some changes and teams will now start with a runner on first base for the first three innings. Should a runner reach third base in those innings, the bunting restrictions will be lifted for the next batter.
