The Northern New South Wales Emu Colts cricket side was in a solid position at the end of the first day of its two-day match against Canterbury Emerging Players at Hagley Oval yesterday. Scores: Northern New South Wales Emu Colts 223 (W. Faulkner 40, M. Grace 42; G. Lund 3/44 G. De Joux 3/30), Canterbury Emerging Players 76/4 (J. Preston 32 n. 0., R. Haglund’ 33).
