Poodles match huskies
NZPA-Reuter Duluth, Minnesota The idea that it is only huskies who pull sleds was one myth dispelled at a dog sled marathon which ended recently. Some black poodles were among the tough huskies and German shepherd dogs racing across 805 kilometres of snow in northern Minnesota in the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. John Suter, an Alaskan who had 11 standard poodles in his team of 19 dogs, said: “I decided poodles needed their name cleared.”
