Todd wins event
PA Auckland The Olympic equestrian gold medallist, Mark Todd, yesterday won the international show-jumping festival at Waiuku.
Todd, who is on holiday, partnered Merran Hain’s Olympic squad mount Bago to two superb clear rounds to lead the field in the Greggs
International Show Jumping Derby, judging the long course to perfection. Seven clears in the first round included the international visitors, Greg Best (U.S.) on Maurice Beatson’s Chanda, and Patty Johnson (U.S.) on Carolyn Watson’s comparatively inexperienced Dan.
