Forsman in lead

NZPA-Reuter Indian Wells, California Dan Forsman shot the lowest round of his sixyear professional career yesterday to take a onestroke lead into the third round of the SUSI million Bob Hope Classic. Forsman recorded a remarkable 10-under-par 62 at the Indian Wells Country Club for a two-day total of 14-under-par 130, one stroke ahead of the first round leader, Jay Haas. “This is a day I’ll never forget,” said Forsman, who joined the tour in 1983 and has two career victories. Haas, who shot a 63 in his first round, turned in a second-round 68 at the La Quinta Club. John Mahaffey, Kenny Perry and Jim Hallet were tied for third place at 11-under-par 133.
