It has accepted its consultant’s report on the deficiencies of its present systems, the objectives and framework for anew system, the requirements for a satisfactory change environment, and the key steps towards total achievement of the objectives. The first step is the appointment of a Project Manager to be responsible for specification design, developing recommendations for final funding approval, pilot audit and full implementation. The Manager will report regularly at a senior executive level supported by a Quality Review Committee consisting of top level client staff. It is envisaged the Manager will set up a project team dedicated full-time to the project, initially comprising up to 9 specialists with up to 17 more being added for the final implementation stage. Some project personnel will come from the client’s DP Centre, others will be recruited. In total the project could take up to 3 years, the first stage preceding final implementation lasting up to 10 months. Applicants must be generalists with track records of successful management of DP specialists and completion of projects of major size and scope. This challenging project is of national importance and will appeal to top performers.
