Demand for graduates
A scarcity of jobs for students and graduates is commonplace, but for graduates with a Lincoln College Diploma in Wool Technology the reverse is true. Last year, the demand for diplomates exceeded the number of candidates available by two to one, said the course advisor, Mr Hedley Sanderson. “I am having to tell potential employers who are still contacting Lincoln - ‘I am sorry you have left it too late’.” He said the job offers came from all sectors of the wool industry, particularly exporters, scourers and the Wool Board, which valued the technical skills demanded by the changes in the industry.
