Harkness fellowships
PA Wellington Dr John Coughlan, of Dunedin, has been awarded one of this year’s Harkness. fellowships which he will use to further his medical career by studying at Harvard University. Dr Coughlan, aged 30, graduated M.D., C.H.B. from Otago University in 1980. He has since spent two years in a London hospital, and is now study-
ing for an M.B.A. in general business at Otago University. Dr Coughlan, who will take up his fellowship at Harvard's school of public health in August, intends to specialise in medical management.
