Workouts
Ashburton
Ashburton reporter Noodlum’s Fella and Rostriever Hanover stole the limelight at the Ashburton trotting workouts yesterday. Rostriever Hanover led the backmarkers up in the Cl and faster pace from a stand, then tracked ■ Sir Alba down the back straight. They were locked together coming into the straight, but while both were hard held, Rostriever Hanover headed his rival and won by a neck. Noodlum’s Fella moved up 1000 metres out in the mobile pace and cruised away to a comfortable
victory over Debbie’s Chance (now with Bob Cameron). Mark My Boy, which led for most of the way, finished third after pulling hard throughout. Noodlum’s Fella covered the 2400 metres in 3min 4.75, the last 800 metres in 59.15, 2 seconds slower than Rostriever Hanover for the last section.
