Family feat
Four members of the cricketing Hadlee family — Walter, and three of his sons, Barry, Dayle and Richard — feature in Canterbury’s batting partnership records against Auckland, a remarkable feat after a series extending for 93 matches over 114 years. Richard and Dayle Hadlee actually share the mark for the eighth wicket, established a half-century after their father earned his place on the list.
