A.I.D.S. committee
PA Wellington An A.I.D.S. research committee has been set up by the Medical Research Council and the Health Department. The committee’s role will be mostly advisory and it will make recommendations for the spending of council and department money on A.I.D.S. research. It will also pro-
mote and monitor suitable projects. Professor David Skegg of the Otago Medical School will chair the committee which consists of Dr Karen Poutasi and Dr Arvind Patel from the Health Department, Dr Rod Ellis-Pegler from Auckland, Dr Jane Chetwynd from Christchurch and Mr Geoff from Wellington.
