Public Notices AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICE CLOSURE PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Council Office at Duvauchelle will be closed from 12 noon, Wednesday, December 23. 1987, until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 1988. The County Engineer will not be available until Monday, January 18, 1988. The Building Inspector will not be available until Tuesday, January 5, 1988. The County Foreman, Mr T. Millar, will be on annual leave between Wednesday, December 23,1987, and Monday, February 1, 1988, and all after hours rural works emergencies should be referred to Mr R. A. Muir, ph. Duvauchelle 867. The Town Foreman, Mr A. McKeown and the Water Treatment Operator, Mr J. Shaw, will be on duty except for the statutory holidays of Christmas and New Year. L. W. M. GRAHAM. IW CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR REFUSE COLLECTION URBAN COLLECTION SERVICE The collection for Friday, Christmas Day will be made on Thursday, December 24, and that of Monday, December 28 (observed as Boxing Day) on Tuesday, December 29, 1987. The collection for Friday, New Year’s Day will be made on Thursday, December 31, and that for Monday, January 4 on Tuesday, January 5,1988. All other days, refuse will be collected as usual. SHOP REFUSE Shop refuse will be collected on the Tuesday of each week. RURAL COLLECTION SERVICE The rural refuse collection will be on Thursday, December 24 during Christmas week and Thursday, December 31 on the following week. TO BE SURE THAT YOUR REFUSE BAGS WILL BE COLLECTED,PLEASE HAVE THEM AT THE KERBSIDE NO LATER THAN 7.30 A.M. ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION. REFUSE DISPOSAL The Parkhouse Road Refuse Station (telephone 486-612) will close at noon on both December 24 and 31 and will remain closed until the following Mondays, December 28 and January 4 respectively.
