This quartet of fleet-footed girls from the Halswell School created a little bit of athletics history with its victory in the 12 years relay at the Canterbury inter-primary schools sports last week. It was the fifth consecutive year of success in the inter-school relays for this Halswell team, and three of the girls, Annette Louden (top), Fiona Rowan (centre) and Deborah Harding (right), have carried the baton in each of the five years. Megan Kavanagh (left) joined the team this year.
