B.C.N.Z. drops appeal
The Broadcasting Corporation has decided to drop its appeal against the granting of the third television channel warrant to the TV3 consortium. Jjjh a statement released
yesterday, the corporation said, according to independent legal advice, it had grounds for appeal. It had decided not to pursue it, however, after “considering all aspects of
the third channel situation.”
Ihe corporation s withdrawal means that only Aotearoa Broadcasting Systems is now disputing the third channel decision.
