Miniskips after name change
Miniskips (New Zealand) is seeking approval for a name change at its inaugural annual meeting in Auckland on December 11.
The company’s proposed new name. Pan Austral, and accompanying new structure, would allow Miniskips a broader trading framework and allow the company to work internationally, Miniskips’ directors said in a statement
The managing director, Mr Dean Wotherspoon, said since launching in October, 1986, miniskips had established a strong base. “The proposed new name would allow the company to enter the international mar-
ketplace, and reflected the company’s desire to diversify its activities, he said. The proposed name change required shareholders to approve the sale of the company's assets and undertakings to Kirghiz Corporation, a shell-company being used to facilitate the name change. Kirghiz would be renamed Miniskips (New Zealand) on shareholder approval, and Pan Austral would be the holding company. The proposed change would have no effect on the structure or operations of the Miniskips franchise network of waste disposal systems, the directors said.
