AWA asset sale
Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia) (AWA) is planning to sell further assets as part of a big group restruc-
turing. AWA’s chairman, Mr John Hooke, told the company’s annual meeting that certain activities had now been identified within the company which were not essential to AWA’s core business. Four weeks ago AWA sold its radio interests to Wesgo for $71.5M — marking the end of an era for AWA, which had been running radio stations for about 60 years.
