Three one-day trials for 1988 team
The chairman of the Canterbury/Westland Pony Club Area advises that three oneday horse trials will be held to decide the 1988 team for .the New Zealand Pony Club Championships.
These are to be held on (March 6 (McLeans Island), March 20 (Rotherham) and April 3 (Okuku). Because of the lower maximum height of fences for the A.l Class, and the large number of entries last year, the following further conditions will apply for selection of competitors for the Area Trial Classes. I. Classes will be restricted to 30 competitors or less.
2. The horse and rider must have completed a one day horse trial of intermediate grade or above in the past twelve months, but not necessarily as a combination. 3. Competitors are asked to send with their entry a list of one day horse trials achievements during the past 12 months.
4. It is recommended that all combinations compete in at least one of the following one day horse trials. February 7, View Hill Branch; February 13, Windsor Branch, and February 21, Riccarton/Fendalton branch.
5. Should a selection be required, the decision of the Area Trial Committee will be final.
