Impala to buy Renouf Aust.
NZPA Sydney Impala Pacific will compulsorily acquire all the shares it does not already own in Renouf Corp Australia, according to Renouf Corp Australia’s chairman Mr lan Hume. He told the company’s annual meeting in Sydney yesterday that Impala owned 96.97 per cent of Renouf Australia’s shares as a result of its takeover offer. Impala, the Hong Kong
Investment company whose major shareholders are Ariadne Australia and Wellington-based Renouf Corp, had offered AustZOOc (NZIB4C) for each- Renouf Australia share. Impala had been the subject of a takeover by Renouf Corp, but the offer was withdrawn — ah action which earned Renouf a sharp rebuke from the Hong, Kong Takeovers Committee.
