If you have not visited this shop for some time you will certainly appreciate the beauty of the extensions which have been made. The spaciousness and natural lighting from a glass roof provide an appropriate setting for the fine furniture dis-
played there. Included is a mid-Vic-torian pine wardrobe, an elegant Georgian sideboard, and a 1930 s oak sideboard. The latter is a category now keenly sought by young people. Other unusual and interesting items I noticed in this shop were a tiny pottery tea-pot with a hinged pewter lid and a pair of large wooden “shoe-trees.” Such oddi-
ties often please collectors. On your next shopping expedition do remember to look first at your local dealer’s offerings. Treasure is often found in such places. It is easier than braving the preChristmas traffic in the city, and the proprietor will probably become a friend who will keep an eye out for additions to your collection.
