Rimmel cosmetics has launched its summer colours. “Splash” is in bright shades designed with the outdoors in mind. Aqua Lash Mascara is said to be smudge and smear proof in the sun, sea, or shower. It comes in nine colours ranging from dramatic cobalt blue, vivid rose pink, and sunny yellow, to hard-to-find white. Rimmel’s complementary Aqua Shadows are a trio of pearly powders in a slim compact. The summer theme is carried through to the presentation, as the shadow surface is raised in a flowing wave pattern. Colours include Flag Ship (high seas and a wave of fuchsia), Rock Pool (silver-pink ripples on azure), and Pearl Diver (pearl studded coral reef.)
Ray-Ban, the übiquitous “cool” sunglasses have turned 50. Although the firm’s popular Wayfarer style dates from the 19505, the Ray-Ban was first developed in 1937 at the request of the United States Army Air Corps, which needed quality sunglasses to protect pilots from the glare of high altitudes. Function and fashion have been the Ray-Ban hallmark ever since making them a top-seller and a favourite of the famous. See a ipovie star sheltering behind shades and chances are they in Ray-Bans from .Jack Nicholson in Wayfarers to Top Gun’s Tomi Cruise in the aviator style
