Union agrees to late nights
The union representing staff in supermarkets and grocers* shops - have agreed to a 9 pan. finish on four- nights a Week.' In a national award settlement in Auckland last evening, the employers won an extra six late trading hours ; a'wetk in return for what the workers’ advocate described as significant protection clauses. This represents a riae to 12 extra hours a week which they can use in any combination. However, it is likely the larger supermarkets at least would prefer to go to four late nights with shopping extended fromdpjn. pjn. , .
