Box 12-003, Thorndon, Wellington (Telex NZ3844) at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26,1988, are invited for the above work. The contract is for the manufacture, painting and delivery of four only hydraulic oil pump units for Arapunl Power Station. Each pump unit Will power and control a pair of lifting cylinders which operate a spillway gate. Each pump unit has two motor/ pump assemblies, one for duty and one for standby. Maximum rated pressure is 100 bars. A gate position indicator unit is incorporated in each pump unit and drives cam operated micro switches, an encoder for remote readout and a dial and pointer for local readout. Most hydraulic componentry and some electrical/ mechanical equipment is supplied by the department. A ilgh standard of fabrication and fit up is required. Mass of each unit is 680 kg.
