Situations Vacant Situations Vacant CHILD SAFETY OFFICER Royal New Zealand Plunket Society (Inc.) The Royal New Zealand Plunket Society has a vacancy for the position of Child Safety Officer. Based in the Plunket Society's head office in Dunedin, the successful applicant will join the newly-developed research unit within the Medical Division. The position offers a unique opportunity for an individual with initiative and ability to work on projects including: promotion of child safety through national campaigns and parent education; liaison with manufacturers over the development of products with child safety implications and research related to various aspect of child safety. The position would suit a graduate in the social sciences or allied health professions, but any person with appropriate experience and skills would be considered. The Safety Officer will work closely with both the voluntary and professional sectors of the Society and must be able to work without close supervision. Some internal travel will be involved.
