Nude offer declined

I’m not one to gossip but ... "Dynasty” star Diahann Carrolihas again turned down a chance to make an extra $140,000 by posing nude for "Playboy”.

The magazine wanted her to join Joan Collins, Linda Evansand ex- " Dynasty” star Pamela Sue Martin,who have ail over the past 10 years appeared in the pages nude.

Diahann, 51, says, "It’s not that I think I am too old — I felt “flattered by the offer. But the ’Dynasty’ women who are white have done layouts with few or no repercussions. I really believe that the black community would despise me for it if I agreed to pose.”

Under the new terms of a new Hollywood union contract, actors will no longer be paid any extra for speaking parts if their lines consist only of nonverbal utterances. Among the examples cited: moans, screams, exclamatory sounds “ooh!" “aah!" and the like.

Every now and then “The Golden Girls” brings in an out-of-town relative: Blanche’s father, Rose’s daugher, Dorothy’s son. When Sophia’s sister Angela (played byNancy Walker — who used to play Rhoda’s mum) made a guest spot on the series she and Estelle Getty,who plays Sophia, got on very well. Now it looks as though Nancy might become a regular on the show this coming season.

next guy. Elizabeth Tayloris up for the role of Imelda Marcos,the former First Lady of the Philippines. The project is still hush hush, but I can tell you the deal is all signed up and ready to go into production around March of next year. Elizabeth will take home a pay slip worth about $6 million, which Includes her salary as star and producer and projected Crofits from foreign distriution.

The mini-series has already been sold to the Philippines, and two American networks are in the running to buy it. That’s not bad, seeing the first frames aren’t even in the can.

Bianca Jaggerlooks as though she might be the next star to join the cast of “Dynasty". There are

talks behind closed doors about signing her up for a role as ... wait for it... a long-lost sister to Alexis Carrington. I hear that Bianca will get a fee of around about $2% million for a 12-week run with the show. Now that’s not a bad fee for an actress who has really done nothing for years!

Believe it or not,Sharon Glesshas taken a “no-btondes-except-me” line on “Cagney and Lacey.” Last week an actor was booked to play an extra on the show, but when Sharon saw his hair colouring was the same as hers she had him sacked. The show’s producer told him, “Sorry, but your hair is the same colour as Sharon’s, and she’s very sensitive about another actor appearing on the show with her hair colouring.” Now Sharon has had it written into her contract: no other blondes are to appear on the show, male or female. “Dallas” has been nominated the year’s biggest rip-off, for bringing Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) back from the dead. Other awards went to “Dynasty” for the best funny script of 1987, “Knots Landing" for the most boring soapie for ’B7.Joan Collinsgot the award for the most overexposed TV celebrity. When Mr Lotto,Doug Harvey, was recently in Dallas (the city, not the soapie), he stayed at the hotel where they shoot quite a few of the scenes tor “Dallas.” He tells me that since the soapie has been shot in Dallas, the city’s tourist business has shot up 100 per cent and there are shops which sell nothing but "Dallas” spinoffs. Is that where he got his cowboy hat? ... But my lips are sealed.
