The classic is decided on stableford points, and the winning team of Alan Calder, Brendon Daly. Russell Forward and Tony Daly scored 149 points on Saturday, and 150 points yesterday to take first place by four points. The four, all single handicap golfers, have played in the tournament as a team for the past four years, and their placlngs have been as consistent as their rounds at the week-end. They were sixth last year, third In 1985 and fourth in 1984. Calder’s contribution for the two days was 36 and 39 stableford points; Tony Daly' contributed 36 and 33,* Forward 39 and ,38; and Brendon Daly 38 and 40. the charity tournament, which used both the old and new courses at the Harewbod club, attracted 88 four-man tews The organisers hope to ralf 410,000, sufficient to suppy the New Zealand Cot ‘ Death Society with five baby monitors. ■ . « s ■ 5

• A prize for women’s teams was Instituted this year, and the top. two teams both recorded 285 stableford points. The four comprising K. Congdon, A. Thorpe, C Taylor and G.
