Dept will sponsor concerts
PA Wellington The lunchtime concert series which will be held during the International Festival of the Arts in Wellington next March will be sponsored by the Internal Affairs Department The series will include the world premieres of works specially commissioned for the New Zealand composers Michael Calvert, John Almsly, and David Griffiths. A new work by John Almsly will have its New Zealand premiere at the festival. Other New Zealand composers whose work will be featured are Edwin Carr, David Farquhar, Ross Harris, John Rimmer and John Ritchie. The secretary, Mr Peter Boag, said the department ’■ was delighted to be able to support the festival in .this way.
