Handcrafts in Wool Awards to promote excellence
Entries are now open for the 1988 “New Zea-’ land Wool Board Handcrafts in Wool Award” which offers a $2OOO premier award and a $lOOO award for excellence.
Open to all craftspeople, the award is aimed at promoting the quality of design and craftmanship of New Zealand woolcrafts and encourages greater cooperation between spinners, weavers and designers. Final judging and the presentation of the award will take place at the 1988 National Woolcrafts Festival in Auckland. Finalists’ entries will be exhibited at the Festival and the public will be able to see the exhibits at the Crafts Council Gallery in Wellington during June 1988.
Copies of the prospectus detailing conditions of entry for the 1988 “Design in Fashion” award are available from the Crafts Council and all branches of the New Zealand Spinning, Weaving and Woolcrafts Society. Entries close April 15, 1988.
