Woman discovers burglars
A woman reversed down her driveway after disturbing three burglars around the back of her Beveridge Street house on Thursday evening. The police said the woman arrived home about 9.20 p.m. and noticed a man standing by the letterbox. She drove up the driveway to discover three men standing by the back door of the house. One had just come out the door, which leads to the laundry. The three approached her car and the woman reversed out She drove to a nearby friend’s house. She returned later to discover a louvre window missing, although no entry appeared to have been gained by that means. Although the burglars had been in the laundry, entry could not be gained to the rest of the house. Nothing was taken. The man standing at the letterbox was European, of thin build and average height, and had blond hair. Descriptions were not available for the others.
