Bracewell injured
PA Perth The New Zealand offspinner, John Bracewell, Is the first injury casualty on the cricket tour of Australia. He was due to play in the four-day game against Western Australia starting at Perth yesterday, but pulled out shortly before play started with a sore lower back. < ■ The New Zealand
coach, Gren Alabaster, said there was no cause for alarm or any suggestion of looking for a replacement. He said Bracewell felt some discomfort Bracewell was given the option to play but decided not to risk either further damaging his back or bowling below par. The Wellington all-rounder, Evan Gray, was brought in for Bracewell.
