The contract Is for the manufacture, painting - and delivery of four only hydraulic oil pump units for Arapunl Power Station. Each pump unit will power and control a pair of lifting cylinders which operate a spillway gate. Each pump unit has two motor/ pump assemblies, one for duty and one for standby. Maximum rated pressure Is 100 bars. A gate position indicator unit is Incorporated in each pump unit and drives: cam operated micro switches, an encoder for remote readout and a dial and pointer for local readout. Most hydraulic componentry and some electrical/ mechanical equipment is supplied by the department. A high standard of fabrication and fit up is required. Mass of each unit Is 680 kg.
