Situations Vacant Situations Vacant Vacancy No. 8089 The MAF Regional Library, Invermay, has a vacancy for a librarian. The library provides specialised agricultural and veterinary information services to MAF staff, agricultural industries, farmers and the general public. Responsibilities Include supervision of all circulation routines in the library, current awareness services and interlibrary loans. The librarian will assist users in making full use of the library resources and will work with the Regional Librarian in providing comprehensive reference services to MAF staff and outside clients, including on-line and manual literature searches. The librarian will also assist with providing input to the library’s database, AgriScan. The library makes extensive use of NZBN and many other on-line databases. Qualifications A library qualification is essential (NZLSC, NZLAC, Dip. NZLS, Dip. Lib. or equivalent). Experience in a special library, familiarity with the use of NZBN and on-line computer searching is desirable. A scientific background would be an advantage.
