He said he thought that the Australian resurgence would have surfaced a season earlier in 1986-87. But he felt that Australia would be too strong for England in the blcentenary test and Sri Lan*a later in the one-off <

"Hadlee is a key player and will be an integral part of their attack,” he said.’ . ~. “Martin Crowe is a topclass competitor, although tiiS very talented brother Jeff, who played in South Australia, hasn’t been as successful. “But we are not just focusing on one or two. They will be determined to win In their usually competitive way but we can beat them if we play to our potential.” Later, Chappell said that with hindsight, the underarm incident against Mew Zealand’s last bagman, Brian McKechnle, at the M.C.G. on February 1, 1981, was the only action tie regretted in his cricket areer. , ” JK”
