Girls had poet in his grave
The poet Laurie Lee, whose classic bucolic memoir “Cider With Rosie” has sold millions of copies since being published 25 years ago, was startled while sitting outside his village pub recently. Two visiting schoolgirls
politely asked him where Laurie Lee was buried. Lee, who is 73, told the "Daily Mail” columnist, Nigel Dempster, that it was perhaps the most rewarding moment of his life. He said: “It gave me a quick glimpse of immortality.”
