BIL sale
Brierley Investments has sold by private treaty 27.37 per cent of the diluted capital of R. W. Saunders, Ltd, for 245 c a share. Consideration for the 866,657 ordinary shares was $2,130,600, BIL secretary, John Beattie, said. Elders buy Elders (IXL) brewing materials, a division of the Elders Agribusiness group has bought the Belgian malting company, N. V. Mouterij Buys. The brewing materials division of Elders is the largest manufacturer of malt in the southern hemisphere and is an established supplier of malt to many of the world’s largest brewing companies.
