Cancer—electrical links?
NZPA-Reuter Copenhagen Danish researchers were investigating possible links between exposure to electricity and cancer, a Danish cancer specialist has said. Preliminary studies in
the United States ana Sweden suggested that children living near hightension electric cables were prone to leukaemia and electric power workers had a higher incidence of brain cancer. Dr Joergen Olsen, of the
Danish Cancer Register, said. “There is possibly a link between exposure to force fields and leukaemia and brain cancer, but there is a long way yet before < we get a clear pictye,”Dr Olsen said.
