‘Personality of Year’
Roger Allred, of the Burnside club, has been named the Canterbury “Squash Personality of the Year” for IsB7. The trophy was presented to Mr Allred at a function at the Christchurch Football Club. The selection panel of Messrs Alan Dunlop, John Heinz and Murray Withers named Mr Allred as winner nt the award for his fine
contribution to Junior squash. This season Mr Allred, coordinator for -Canterbury junior squash, was instrumental in arranging Tristan Franklin’s trip to the Malaysian Junior championship. Two Canterbury Juniors, Sarah Cook and } Philippa Beams, won titles at the national age-group championships in Wellington.
