About the winner
HANNAH AIREY, winner of the “Press Fashion” Cover Contest is interested in a career in the tourism and hospitality field. She works in that line already, as a waitress at The George Hotel, but her ambitions are in management training. Hannah returned from New York several months ago after finishing the United States school year. She was on a private study exchange, after completing her sixth form year at Rangiora High School. Just before she came back to New Zealand, Hannah was asked if she was interested in modelling. She did not have the time to follow up the invitation. Now, she has juggled her shifts at The George to fit in one of her Cover Contest prizes, a modelling course at Pieter’s Agency. Hannah is keen also to make the most of another prize. Since returning from overseas she has not established a regular exercise routine so her course at Total Fitness should do the trick. Hannah has the natural advantages for modelling of height and good bone structure. Her friendly personality is another plus and so too should be the “Press Fashion” Cover Contest exposure — many models work their careers through without getting a cover shot.'
