Model to stage fashion show

What promises to be one of the biggest fashion shows to be staged in the South Island will be held next week at the Great Hall of the Arts Centre.

A leading New Zealand model, Gina 01liver, of Christchurch, is choreographing “The Face of Fashion.” More than 40 models will parade garments from established and aspiring Canterbury designers in European runway style. The show, run in conjunction with the Jambalaya restaurant, includes a buffet dinner of New Orleans Cajun cuisine. Complimentary Kiwi Lager will be served, with champagne, wine and spirits available. Live jazz entertainment will accompany dinner and dancing.

Door prizes have been given by local merchants and Arts Centre craftspeople. Seats are limited for the gala evening, which starts at 7.30 p.m. on October 15, with tickets available in advance from the Jambalaya.
