Offender disturbed
A man who was disturbed while burgling a house in Proctor Street, Papanui, on Wednesday morning is sought by the police.
The burglar was disturbed when a friend of the occupier went to cut the lawns. He discovered the rear door open and while investigating, the burglar came out of a
bedroom. The offender said he was looking for a member of the family, as he edged towards the back door. He then ran off and left in a red Honda City car. About $65 was later discovered stolen from the bedroom.
The burglar was European, aged about 30, and about 193 cm to 196 cm.
