Similar stresses applied to nurses on annual leave.
“While Plunket nurses are away on holiday they may continue to worry about clients who are not being attended to — the benefit of leave is lost due to anxiety and guilt.” If relief staff was provided, the physical and psychological value of Plunket nurses could be optimised.
“Stress levels will be minimised for those nurses taking annual leave or sick leave and clients will have the quality and continuous care they require.” The conference passed both remits.
