Computer ‘essential’
The Cahterbuiy' 1 ' promotion Council hopes to be using a computerised information system by early next year. The council is examining ways of raising $50,000 to set up the system. “This will be an essential development on our part to keep up with the growth of our visitors and members,” said the council’s chief executive, Mr Bruce Dunstan. “We need to be able to service them with good and readily available information.” By early next year the council hopes to be providing visitors with computer printouts of what they can do, as well as brochures.
