Department to cover bus routes
Political reporter Existing school bus services would continue to be run by the Education Department until 1990 if there were no acceptable tenders for them, said the Government yesterday.
School bus routes will soon be put up for private tender as part of the Government’s policy of progressive reduction in buses run by the department.
The Minister of Education, Mr Lange, replying to a question in Parliament said that - the department would continue to cover for three years routes not taken by private operators.
