Lord Linley banned
NZPA-PA London Princess Margaret’s son, Lord Linley, was banned from driving for six months yesterday after admitting driving at 158km/h on the M 4. He is believed to be the first member of the Royal Family to be disqualified.
He was also fined £lOO ($267) and ordered to pay £2O prosecution costs after being told by a Brentford magistrate, Leslie Wilson, he believed Lord Linley had “a duty to • demonstrate to other youngsters respect for the law.”
Mr Wilson said Lord Linley had two speeding convictions, one in February, 1985, and one in December, 1985. He also had an endorsement in 1986 for allowing his motor-cycle to be used by a friend without insurance.
