Morg. Grenfell N.Z. move
PA Wellington The U.K.-based investment bank, Morgan Grenfell, has obtained company membership of the New Zealand Stock Exchange and will begin trading in Auckland on October 1 this year. Morgan Grenfell is the first international investment bank to be directly represented on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and will provide institu- v tional, corporate, and high net worth clients with a global equities., service, the company said yesterday.
Morgan Grenfell is now a member of the Stock Exchange in London, New York, Australia, New Zea-
land and Singapore and is a licenced securities dealer in Tokyo. In addition, it has offices in 20 other countries.
In London, Morgan Grenfell accounts for about 9 per cent of the volume of business on the London Stock Exchange and is a market maker in over 900 U.K. and international equity stocks.
The local subsidiary, Morgan Grenfell New Zealand Securities Ltd, places emphasis on its ability to execute international equities orders in-house through Morgan Grenfell’s sharebroking network, the statement said.
