Hospital top job
PA Auckland The top job at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, has gone to the medical superintendent of Southland Hospital, Dr Anne Simpson. Dr Simpson, aged '47, will take over as medical superintendent of Middlemore from February. ‘ The position at
Middlemore has been vacant since Dr Karen Poutasi left to join the Health Department in Wellington. Dr Simpson spent two years training in community medicine and has also written many publications about child health. She Eflso worked for the Health' Department in Dunedin.
An; acting superintendent has been appolnted to Green Lane Hospital, i Dr Toby Whitlock will hold the post from October after the retirement of Green Lane’s medicai superintendent, Dr Henry Stone. ? iDr Whitlock " has £>een closely involved in planning for the heart trans plant unit at Green Lane. .
