, Sir,—The statement about the Soviet Union, “I have seen the future and it works,” was not made by George Bernard Shaw, as Professor Goldberg, of the University of Manchester, is quoted as saying (September 17), but by Lincoln Steffens, the American “muckraking” journalist and editor, who took part in a diplomatic mission to the young Bolshevik Government in 1919.— Yours, etc., KEN HARRIS.
