Comedy team returns
The award-winning comedy team of Lenny Henry, Tracey Ullman and David Copperfield are back together again in a new series of “Three of a Kind” at 9.25 tonight on Two. New Zealand audiences have seen a lot of Henry and Ullman out on their own lately. “Lenny Henry Tonite” has just finished its run on Saturday nights on One and “The Tracey Ullman Show” came to an end last Monday on Two. Ullman fans can catch her in yet another comedy, “Girls On Top,” about four London flatmates, which screens Sunday nights on Two.
“Three of a Kind” features rapid-fire sketches and one-liners, punctuated by special guest appearances from big names in the pop world.

“Tracey Ullman is more interested in theatre and films, while Lenny Henry and I are the pure showbusiness element” says Copperfield. “But I like classical
music, while Lenny goes round with the stereo he calls a ghetto blaster, playing rock.”
The show has been a success with its novel treatment of traditional areas of humour and punchy delivery, winning
the Silver Rose of Montreux award and then a B.A.F.T.A. award in 1982 for Best Light Entertainment Programme. In addition to the return of regular characters like Nat West the preacher and P. C. Ganja
the Rastafarian community policeman, there are new faces in this series, such as Babylonia Johnson, the Hollywood gossip columnist, Platon, the canine comedian and Baghwan Hardcastle, the north country mystic.
